I'm sorry to say that I didn't get very far before other things came up. I would also still love to have it integrated, maybe I can take another look now that kde4 is more stable. I don't know much about it, but akonadi might be the right tool to integrate with. (It will be a crucial part of kontact for kde 4.2) I'm glad you're interested =).
